Digital Hoarding

It’s that time of year again, you know the one where you start taking hundreds of photographs with your phone, tablet, and camera. The problem within this new found and many times over abundance of digital capacity begins with organization and actually hitting that dreaded delete button. Top rules when eliminating such unnecessary photographs are:
1. If it’s blurry it’s not worthy
2. Bad crop just drop
3. Rid the doubles stop the troubles
4. Label and Date before it’s too late
Sometimes we worry that we may need that one photo so we had better keep it. You must truly decide each time you have a session, which ones too keep, to avoid the over flowing memory card or computer hard drive.

Family Focus

Best Friends Forever

Fall has greeted us with peaking foliage. Natures perfect back drop for great photography. For the month of October I will be running family specials. If you book a family session in the month of October I will include 2 free scrapbook pages. These pages are a great way to display 2-3 photos in a colorful and tasteful display. It is often hard to get the family together but, now you have a wonderful reason to do just that! Head over to the gallery now to see many other photo shoots including last Fall’s children shoot.

This is Scott Dirksen whom I had the wonderful opportunity of working with. We are trying to help one another out in jump starting our careers and it has become a great new friendship. Scott is an aspiring model in the Southern Minnesota area. He is the true definition of a country boy and that is why his shoot was based on the outdoors. I hope to continue working with Scott in the future as we both embark on our journeys to success! See many, many more of his photos as well as others on my Facebook page MelissaMaeArtistry.
